Next year’s edition of the Host show in Milan on 18-22 October will give a starring role to tableware and the suppliers in that sector.
At the 2017 exhibition, the Furniture, Technology and Tableware area saw an increase in terms of importance, which equated to almost 20% of all companies taking stands. The show believes there was growth both in terms of numbers and quality of the exhibition offering, which in the tableware segment was represented by high-end manufacturing companies.
Italy is the fourth largest global exporter in tableware, with Fiac/ANIMA data forecasting a continuation of the trend which saw Italian companies in this segment increase production by 2% in 2017. This follows a 0.3% turnover increase in 2016, representing overall revenue of €865m.
With tableware manufacturers increasingly focusing on attention to detail and personalisation in their products, Host feels that the exhibition can showcase how to offering diners an immersive ‘food entertainment’ experience as well as being the stage to get up close and personal with the latest evolutions in the format and ‘turnkey’ store solution sectors.
The tableware industry companies already registered to take part in the 2019 edition of HostMilano include: Abert SPA, Alessi, Arc International, Arcturus group, BIT, Bormioli Luigi, Dibbern, Libbey, Masa, Mepra, Rak, Richard Ginori, Robert Welch, Siggi, Schoenwald, Tognana.
