Synergy Grill has scooped the Judges award at The FoodTalk Innovation Awards in London.
The awards, held on the first day of London Tech Week at OXO2 on the South Bank was a celebration of food tech and the businesses which are facilitating the sector’s innovation and growth in the UK.
Hosted by The FoodTalk Show, a weekly radio show and podcast that focuses on innovation in the UK food and drink industry – the awards aim to celebrate those who are shaping the gastronomic future. With categories including packaging and kitchen tech, the spotlight fell on those products and businesses that are changing the way we eat, cook and live forever.
Sue Nelson, judge, founder and co-presenter of The FoodTalk Show said of the Judges Award: “This special award was created after we realised that Synergy Grill was simply too fabulous not to win something. It has quietly developed a product that has the potential to literally change the whole concept of barbecuing and grilling food in terms of commercial and eventually domestic kitchens.”
Synergy Grill chairman Justin Cadbury commented: “We have been fortunate enough to have won several awards for Innovation and Energy Efficiency, but this ‘Judges Award’ from The FoodTalk Awards is extra special and demonstrates the superior levels of food taste and texture from the Synergy Grill from the people who are experts in the industry.
“The retention of moisture and succulence from the Synergy Grill due to the natural oils being vaporised back through the different foods makes a huge difference to those who care about food quality. No fat tray to clean helps the environment as well. British technology really is leading the way.”
