Catering equipment and tableware supplier Stephensons has adopted a novel approach to taking part in ‘Movember’ — by branding up its vans with moustaches.
All of its company vehicles are now adorned with their own ‘taches to help raise awareness of men’s health issues, such as prostate cancer. What’s more, the moustaches on each van are completely individual as they have been designed by the corresponding driver.
The firm has been inviting customers to take a snap of any Stephensons vans they see on the road and upload it to Twitter or Facebook to stand a chance of winning a case of six glass mugs.
Stephensons’ team of drivers has a hectic couple of months ahead of it. The firm has also just launched a same-day delivery service for central Manchester in a bid to make it easier for catering and hospitality venues in the run-up to the busy festive season.
It is offering the service up until New Year’s Eve on orders where ‘Same Day’ is quoted before the 2pm cut-off time.
Additionally, its cash & carry and showroom in Stockport will now stay open until 8pm on Thursdays and 4pm on Saturdays to help caterers cope with the rush.
“We hope that our same day delivery service and extended opening hours at our cash & carry will help make life a little easier for the city’s pubs, bars, restaurants and other catering outlets,” said managing director, Henry Stephenson.
