Stationery seller starts catering equipment sales

A leading supplier of stationery and office furniture from Shropshire has revealed plans to expand into the catering equipment market.

Chrisbeon, which is based in Telford, has just launched a new catalogue featuring more products than ever before, and cited commercial kitchen equipment as a potential growth area for the firm.

The business, which is currently seeing an increase in customers buying supplies online, said that ramping up its foodservice offering was a logical step given it has some catering exposure already.

Craig Hughes, partner of Chrisbeon of Telford and Shrewsbury, told Shrewsbury Today. “We have always supplied tables and chairs for canteens and can now offer a bigger range of other products related to the kitchen.

“Our product range has been increased to include kitchen and barware type products. In addition to big fridges, we now offer a much wider range of crockery and food mixing machines for hotels, restaurants, takeaways and food manufacturers.”

This year marks Chrisbeon’s 40th anniversary and the firm intends to mark it by undergoing a complete rebranding.
