Standex Food Service Equipment is supporting the inaugural Catering Insight Hot 100 as a Gold Partner for the Rising Stars category.
The partnership will see Standex associated with the Hot 100 Rising Stars for a full year – from the launch this week, throughout the build up to the October Hot 100 party, and beyond as the Hot 100 list and all the news and pictures from the party are published.
Standex grabbed the Hot 100 Rising Stars category because it wants to demonstrate its support for the next generation of business leaders who will maintain the UK’s position at the forefront of the international equipment industry.
“As our industry becomes more globalised, we must recruit and develop the best available talent to ensure the UK retains its stake in the future. We need the best in business, engineering, sales and service personnel to meet the demands of our customers and end users,” said Steve Loughton, managing director for Standex Food Service Equipment.
“At Standex, we believe passionately in developing talent for growth, stability and innovation, which is demonstrated by our support of the Rising Stars category at this inaugural Hot 100 celebration,” he added.
The Catering Insight Hot 100 is an annual celebration for the entire commercial catering equipment market, honouring the industry’s best-performing individuals and teams in five categories: Rising Stars, Industry Innovators, Business Big Shots, Unsung Heroes and Winning Teams.
“Unlike traditional award ceremonies, which single out a small number of companies and products for gongs, the Hot 100 is a celebration that is all about the achievements of a great many people. We make a particular effort to unearth individuals and teams that are rarely recognised but, through their outstanding efforts, deliver exceptional value to their businesses and the wider market,” explained Andrew Seymour, editor of Catering Insight.
The 100 people that make up 2012’s Catering Insight Hot 100 will all feature in a spectacular book made up of personal portraits that will be launched at a glamorous central London party.
“One of the things we particularly love about the Hot 100 concept is that we make stars out of seemingly ordinary people. We create amazing portraits of everybody, and then reveal those portraits at an event that looks more like a glittering London Fashion Week party than a stodgy industry get-together,” said Cara Turner, event director for the Catering Insight Hot 100.
Nominations for the Catering Insight Hot 100 will open this week, and will be accepted through to the end of June, with the list selected by the editors of Catering Insight in July.
The Hot 100 will be revealed at a central London party on October 9th.
