Staff at Pershore’s Sprint Group pitch in to support local food bank

Pershore-based distributor Sprint Group has once again delivered much-needed food to its local food bank this Christmas.

Head office staff and the field sales and technical service teams joined together to give something back to the local community this Christmas.

Many people struggle to put food on the table when life takes an unexpected turn.

Therefore, Sprint believes that whether its illness, disability, dislocation or whatever leaves people struggling, no one should face Christmas without not just the essentials, but also something fun to brighten their day. The company feels it is a local business with a national impact.

Tom Bartley-Smith, MD at Sprint Group, said: “Our business has been rooted in Pershore for 20 years and it’s great to be able to give something back.”

The local food bank don’t think anyone in the community should have to face going hungry.

A food bank representative commented: “That’s why we provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to us in crisis.

“We are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.”
