Sprint scours market for new services chief

Catering equipment distributor Sprint is aiming to expand its business by recruiting a service manager to be based out of its head office in Pershore, Worcestershire.

Sprint’s HQ comprises four main departments — sales and logistics processing, field service management, accounting, and warehouse — and it is looking for someone to come in and ensure the service and sales divisions are operating in a cost effective manner and working towards their goals.

Sprint says the successful candidate will also look after the firm’s sales administration department as a key account manager, handling service calls while overseeing and supporting other members of staff within the team.

This will include the day-to-day management of field-based service engineers.

Applicants must have a number of years of customer service and client management experience, as well as proven expertise in staff motivation, goal-setting and financial co-ordination.

Sprint has already added senior personnel to its team this year as it looks to grow the company, bringing its headcount up to almost 25 people.

It has been involved in a number of high profile projects this year, including Brasserie Blanc, Jamie Oliver’s Union Jacks and Selfridges.

It recently announced that it fitted the kitchen at Chooks, a new 80-cover restaurant in North London founded by Gideon Joffe, the son of Giraffe founders Russel and Juliette Joffe.
