Pershore-based catering equipment distributor Sprint Group has been awarded ISO 14001 accreditation for environmental management systems.
By achieving this accreditation, the team has demonstrated its commitment to reduce waste management costs and protect the environment.
The firm has implemented this global standard to support the entire organisation in complying with increasingly stringent environmental laws and regulations, as well as building trust with customers and other stakeholders.
Robey Jenkins, Sprint’s HR and compliance manager, said: “What’s been great is discovering how much we were already doing right. In the last 12 months, Sprint not only recycled almost 60 tonnes of packaging and waste refrigeration equipment, but has put almost as much back into kitchens with our recovery and renovation service. We aim to do even better in 2019!”
Founded in 1994, Sprint handles turnkey commercial kitchen and bar projects and supplies a wide range of products from leading manufacturers.
This includes commercial kitchen, bar, refrigeration and ventilation equipment, outfitting well-known eateries such as the Brasserie Blanc, Bill’s, Giraffe, the Ivy Collection, Tesco and Hotel Chocolat, as well as the NHS, schools and colleges nationwide.
