Specifi welcomes Nic Banner as Rational becomes latest sign-up

Nic Banner is now Specifi’s vice president of sales for UK and Ireland.

Rational has announced its collaboration with 3D software provider Specifi at the international hospitality trade fair Host in Italy.

Consultants and designers can now also access Rational design data in the globally-established planning software Specifi for the Rational SelfCookingCenter, VarioCookingCenter and CombiMaster Plus cooking appliances.

The German manufacturer made the announcement at the beginning of the hospitality industry trade fair in Milan.

Detlef Rank, director consultant management at Rational AG said: “We are delighted with our collaboration with Specifi. This will enable us to even better support our partners in their day-to-day work.”

In the Specifi database, users will be able to find CAD and Revit data, as well as PDF drawings and data sheets for Rational products, which are available in the most common languages.

Simultaneously, Specifi revealed that Nic Banner has been appointed vice president, sales for UK and Ireland, taking over for Stuart Campbell, who is transitioning to retirement after a stellar career with Specifi and other well-known organisations in the foodservice equipment industry.

Banner said: “I’m delighted to be joining a company at the forefront of innovation in the technology side of the industry. Specifi’s solutions are perfect for the UK and Ireland market and can position many dealers, consultants and manufacturers for rapid growth.”

He previously served as sales director of Induced Energy, a manufacturer of induction cooking products, as well as having broad experience with commercial kitchen design and specification.

Specifi CEO Bob Wolters commented: “We are fortunate to have Nic join us. His knowledge, experience and ability to serve industry customers will surely benefit the UK and Ireland market. The UK and Ireland markets are very important to Specifi and I know Nic will serve them well.”

Outgoing Specifi VP, sales Stuart Campbell added: “I leave Specifi in great hands with Nic. I know he will work tirelessly to benefit our customers with his expertise and will be a true partner as they take their businesses to the next level.”

Banner will be focusing on working with customers who can benefit from software solutions including the Specifi Design program, the starter-pack Specifi Design Express and Specifi Quote. Additionally, he will partner with manufacturers on Specifi Studio, the company’s content creation and distribution service. Finally, Banner will work with all industry segments on Specifi Share, the company’s CESA-approved content repository.
