Foodservice equipment software specialist Specifi is to offer its proprietary custom digital asset management system Specifi Organiser at no cost to industry manufacturers.

Specifi VP of sales, Nic Banner, said: “Our manufacturer partners tell us they are constantly trying to mitigate the costs of bad product data. Old or incomplete product data results in lost sales, errors with clients, costly additional work and damage to reputation. We can help with that.”

Specifi Organiser is a secure, cloud-based, collaborative system that is designed to provide a single “source of truth” throughout a business.

Users upload .DWG and .RFA files, images, spec sheets, manuals, videos and other types of files. The system comes with customisable templates made specifically for foodservice equipment manufacturers. Organiser allows users to manage in multiple currencies and dimensions. Operators can also take advantage of advanced search features to instantly find what they’re looking for.

Banner added: “This eliminates all issues with engineering having one data set and sales going to market with another.”

For external data distribution needs, Specifi is offering Organiser +, which should quickly make updated information available to Specifi’s network of thousands of consultants, designers and dealers. Organiser + also allows users to create price lists and spec sheets on the fly and allow guest access to partners.

Specifi CEO Bob Wolters added: “Our industry has been through a lot over the past year and it’s a relief to see the recovery get underway. We know Organiser will help manufacturers be in a position to take full advantage of the post-pandemic boom that will be unfolding over the coming months. Specifi have literally spent decades perfecting Organiser for internal use. We are proud to now offer it at no cost to help our manufacturer partners realise immediate benefit.”
