Specifi has launched a design solution which it describes as “low cost” and “powerful”.
The new Specifi Design Express is a plugin that sits on top of AutoCAD and Revit. Users can create plans, browse through hundreds of manufacturers’ libraries, configure equipment and synchronise instantly to a quote.
The programme can also keep projects and documents organised, automatically create equipment schedules, export 3D dwg files to flattened 2D views and is designed to be fully compatible with Autodesk Revit.
For those who do not have CAD software, Specifi Design+ Express is available.
Powered by Autodesk AutoCAD OEM, Specifi Design+ Express includes what is said to be an affordable, complete 2D and 3D CAD platform.
This should mean users can access 3D architectural tools to create an accurate 3D space in CAD as well as having all the project data such as utility consumption and list price always available in real time.
Design+ Express is also said to allow users to create custom exhaust hoods with three clicks, create worktops and bar structures in multiple materials and any shape, add sinks and drop-ins to equipment and instantly create the cutout.
With thousands of options for creating 3D bespoke fabrication, Specifi claims that the plugin can enable users to provide the accurate 3D visuals and renders that foodservice operators want.
