Specifi is opening up its online support forum to help the whole UK catering equipment industry.

Specifi UK is helping the catering equipment industry to maintain connections during the nation’s enforced lockdown.

Vice president of sales, UK and Ireland, Nic Banner, and UK technical support specialist Jonathan Stephens have opened up the design and quotation platform’s online meeting room for anyone in the industry to chat to each other in these troubled times.

Banner posted on LinkedIn: “In times like we are experiencing a lot of people will be very isolated and have no one to talk to. I have therefore opened up my RingCentral meeting room for anyone to join at any time between 9am and 5pm every weekday for the foreseeable future.

“If you hear nothing I have just gone to make a cup of tea and will be back within 5 minutes.

“If you want to have a chat about Specifi and how to get the most out of the platform, the state of the world in general, or just have an ear to bend please click here.”

The company is also offering short term licences for any company in the foodservice sector that is not currently a Specifi customer but wants to have the opportunity to provide 3D drawings to its clients.

The licence consists of full access to the Specifi libraries of hundreds of manufacturers, a full version of OEM AutoCAD, access to SP Quote and unlimited access (9-5 Mon-Fri) to the company’s UK-based tech support team via the Ring Central online meeting room.
