Space Catering Equipment is making a grab for the increasingly popular indoor charcoal grill market by offering customers a cut-price deal on Bertha charcoal ovens.
The Gloucester-based distributor says it is in a position to offer customers a special price after working with the Bertha Oven Company from a very early stage in the development of the product, which was officially launched back in the Autumn.
It has unveiled an “offer price” of £5,500, but will give customers the chance to buy the oven at a promotional launch price of £5,250 until the end of May. Alternatively, a five-year rental deal for £149 per month is available.
Space says it is also able to supply the Bertha charcoal oven to distributors at a special ‘buy price’ from the manufacturer.
“We think the Bertha chargrill oven is a fantastic piece of cooking equipment that any operator would find an excellent addition to their kitchen and we’re delighted to be bringing it to the market at such an attractive price,” said Space’s managing director Mike Mellor.
The Bertha indoor grill purports to cook food twice as quickly as a chargrill because cooking takes place inside the enclosed oven, preventing any heat escaping. It also claims to be half the price of other more established brands on the market and use less charcoal.
“We’ve seen numerous operators embrace the product, not least because it’s solidly built – here in Britain too – to an advanced design, making it simple to use and maintain and cost effective to run. Now we’re getting this versatile, high performance oven within reach of an even greater number of chefs and caterers, thanks to an amazing deal backed up by a support package from Space that will help them get the most out of it from day one,” he says.
The discounted launch price, which is available to the end of May 2013, includes a week’s supply of charcoal.
