Gastronomy Plus, the parent company of Sous Vide Tools, has announced plans to open a warehouse and distribution hub in the Netherlands.
Furthermore the firm has appointed Don Riezebos as its first export director.
MD Alex Shannon said: “With the growing popularity of sous vide cooking in mainland Europe, coupled with the fact that we are now manufacturing Kasai grills and Bertha charcoal ovens in the UK for export to Europe and beyond now is the perfect time for Gastronomy Plus to have its own distribution centre on the continent.
“From there we will also be able to distribute a full range of sous vide equipment including pouches, water baths, and vacuum packing machines.”
Riezebos, who will be based at the new Dutch facility, situated in Roosendaal, has nearly 15 years’ experience of catering equipment sales within the Ali Group, and has an extensive network across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
He added: “With the acquisition of the Bertha brand and the growing reputation of the Sous Vide Tools brand this is a really exciting time to be taking on this newly-created role within the business and a great opportunity for me to actively search for distributors right across Europe.”
