Smeg refreshes UK market strategy

Smeg Foodservice has announced that it has become a Cedabond member and is now publishing in CaterQuotes as it looks to refresh its UK market strategy.

As a result of Cedabond membership, the consortium of more than 125 leading commercial catering equipment distributors can now access the full Smeg range of products.

Meanwhile by publishing in CaterQuotes, Smeg can increase exposure by publishing detailed and up-to-date product data, including descriptions, prices, images, spec sheets.

This means that Smeg’s dealers and representatives can locate and configure products quickly and produce customised quotes that are free of errors and include detailed product information.

Phil Coulstock, the firm’s commercial director, said: “Getting our products listed on the CaterQuotes platform is a great step forward and a worthwhile investment in support of our trade customers already using the software.”

He added that Smeg had already seen a positive response since going live with the catalogue.

Coinciding with the Cedabond membership and inclusion in CaterQuotes, Smeg has also released a new pricing list which is available to download from its website.

The firm says the new price list signals a move away from the old existing net pricing to a simpler list price less discount structure.
