Smeg UK’s Abingdon headquarters will now host a La Pavoni coffee machine showroom.

Following on from Smeg’s acquisition of the La Pavoni coffee machine brand in 2019, Smeg Foodservice UK has unveiled a dedicated showroom at its Abingdon, Oxfordshire headquarters.

Visits can be made by appointment to explore the La Pavoni coffee machine range.

The sister brand has now been integrated into the Smeg Foodservice offering and Smeg’s UK arm is taking over the coffee machines’ exclusive supply into the national market from 1 August 2021.

La Pavoni has pioneered commercial espresso coffee machine production since its formation in Milan in 1905. The manufacturer is said to have made the first espresso machines as we know them today.

Smeg UK head of marketing John Davies detailed: “We plan to help support the growth of La Pavoni in the UK as part of our professional and foodservice offerings and are planning to exhibit at London Coffee Festival in September.

“We will start to really make use of the coffee shop-inspired showroom space as we get more involved in all things La Pavoni and now restrictions begin to ease.”
