US manufacturer True Refrigeration is bidding to woo the market with what it calls a “different approach” to energy saving than rival refrigeration manufacturers.

The vendor deliberately designs refrigeration systems that are larger than the industry standard, which means they pull down and recover temperature quickly, it claims. This, adds True, results in short run times which save energy.

It insists an added benefit is that the fast pull-down times enhance food safety.

True recently relaunched a range of heavy duty refrigeration equipment into the UK market, which it will be showcasing in full at Hotelympia 2012.

The portfolio, which it sells through a dealer channel, includes upright cabinets, undercounter models, refrigeration units with worktops, load-bearing tops and salad prep tables.

John Lilly, marketing director of True UK, said: “Rising energy costs and environmental considerations mean buyers are taking a long hard look at getting value for money from their refrigeration. We will have experts on the stand to explain how True’s designs offer cost effective and environmentally friendly solutions."

True offers a five year compressor warranty and uses completely sealed, oil filled, self-lubricating fan motors with a life expectancy of 15 to 20 years. Its Ecomate foamed-in-place CFC-free polyurethane, high density insulation has a zero ozone depletion potential (ODP) and zero global warming potential (GWP).
