Signature FSE has secured the rights to introduce two new European foodservice brands to the UK market.
The company will act as the UK agent for Germany-based Livecookintable and the Italian firm Pinti Inox after putting pen to paper on sales arrangements with both brands.
Livecookintable is a range of unique portable cooking furniture designed by German manufacturer MEC2 GmbH.
It is a new concept of modular portable cooking furniture that allows chefs and caterers to customise their cooking and serving space for events, buffet areas or meetings.
Different types of cooking appliances are interchangeable, including smart induction, wok induction, plancha and teppan grill, hot plate or combined hot and chill units. An air wall provides portable extraction.
Uniquely, all the table and cooking elements can be easily transported in carry bags and the set-up is simple and practical.
Signature FSE director, Paula Sherlock, said that live cooking and induction technology are a great combination, but until now the equipment available still looked better suited to a kitchen environment than front-of-house.
“The contemporary design of livecookintable suits any event space, offering a practical cooking and working environment for the chef and interaction with the guest,” she commented. “The portability of livecookintable is a dream come true for contract caterers and event companies or indeed anyone who needs this flexibility of operation such as hotels, cookery schools or chefs’ tables in restaurants.”
Sherlock said the InterContinental in Berlin and the JW Marriott Marquis in Dubai were just two of the prestigious hotel brands around the world using the equipment for banquets, breakfasts and meeting presentations.
Meanwhile the tie-up with Italian manufacturer Pinti Inox enhances Signature’s offering in stainless steel cutlery, presentation and buffet equipment.
Pinti Inox, whose cutlery has already been referenced by well-known UK restaurant groups, offers a wide selection of cutlery patterns designed and manufactured in its family-owned factory in northern Italy.
Pinti Inox has also developed its own buffet range over the past four years and now offers a comprehensive modular buffet equipment solution for hot, cold and ambient presentation.
Sherlock said the brand is well-known worldwide for its comprehensive range of foodservice products.
“Pinti Inox has been manufacturing in Italy since 1929, so with their history, coupled with the latest buffet ranges and on-trend cutlery patterns and finishes, we look forward to growing the business in the UK market.”
