Sigma cleans up school washing areas

Sigma Catering Equipment is currently undertaking the installation of nine hood type dishwashers in primary schools throughout the North East.

The Meiko ECO545 units are all being fitted thanks to the increased demand from the free school meals initiative.

“Three are for schools in Newcastle and six are being installed in Stockton-on-Tees primary schools on a rolling programme over the coming months,” said Sigma sales director, Chris Keith.

“As timescales permit, we will take out the old sterilising sinks after a lunch service and replace them with the Meiko machines.”

Keith said the models would deliver the quality and reliability that the schools require from warewashing equipment in daily use.

“We have a long-standing relationship with Meiko and they have supported us through bad times and good. We are proud to be a Partner Dealer and always like to work with companies who are loyal to us,” he added.

Meanwhile, Meiko said this week that its ‘Fairplay’ football campaign had proved a ”success”, with 280 of the Fairtrade-approved footballs awarded to customers purchasing Premium warewashing machines with GiO RO technology during the promotional period.

The company has also given away footballs to 100 new followers of its Twitter account following an online promotion.
