SeftonHornWinch has been appointed by restaurateurs Chris Corbin and Jeremy King to design the kitchen facilities for Cafe Colbert, the latest addition to their growing London portfolio.
Their company, Rex Restaurant Associates, will open Cafe Colbert in Sloane Square on the site of the former Oriel Restaurant later this year.
The space has been empty for two years after Earl Cadogan refused to renew the lease having been quoted as saying he “didn’t like the food and the prices are far too high” back in 2008.
Corbin and King’s plan is to bring The Wolseley style all-day ‘grand cafe’ format to Chelsea and tailored to the neighbourhood in an even more accessible way.
The 6,000 sq ft restaurant is due to open early Autumn 2012.
Kent-based SHW is working alongside leading Interior Design firm David Collins Studio in what is its fifth consecutive appointment with Rex Restaurant Associates.
