Shine’s Sharon Ryan passes away from cancer

Sharon Ryan was sales administrator at Shine Catering Systems.

Shine Catering Systems’ sales administrator, Sharon ‘Shaz’ Ryan sadly passed away yesterday after battling cancer.

The Newport-based distributor posted on LinkedIn: “Many would have met her over the years. Sharon definitely had a character you don’t forget. She was a good colleague and friend to us all and always there when you needed her.”

“We all have many good memories of her and Tony Hilton spoke for us all when he said:

‘Sharon, I wish everybody had your moral compass and compassion, the world would be a better place.

‘You made me cry with laughter in the office with some of your comments and you’ve just managed it again with sadness. You will be sadly missed and the worst thing is you will not get the send-off that you deserve.’”

  6. Absolutely devastated. Was like a mother to me at Shine. Always asked how my kids and wife were doing and genuinely cared about people. She had the funniest , daftest sense of humor and a character of which I’ve never come across before. A true one of a kind lady. I have had the privilege of sitting next to and working alongside Shaz for nearly a decade and we shared many stories including all the ups and downs life throws at you.So many laughs together. R.I.P Shaz x
