The overall project value was £7.4m, and it was completed in August 2015 after a 72 week build period.

The project involved the design and build of a new, BREEAM Excellent rated school facility on the original grounds of Cwmbwrla Park, Swansea. The new Burlais Primary School is a two-storey building for 525 mainstream pupils and 75 nursery pupils.

The school also provides a Special Teaching Facility (STF) for 27 pupils with speech, language and communication difficulties.

Shine provided the general fabrication and canopies, and chose specialist manufacturers such as Falcon cooking equipment and Foster cabinets to ensure that the client’s high expectations of both value and performance were met.
