Welsh kitchen design house, Shine Catering Systems, has completed out the installation of a restaurant and bar for the newly built Hotel Indigo in Cardiff city centre.
The distributor was commissioned for this project by foodservice consultant, Derek White, working with Kier Construction to complete both the supply and the full fit out of the catering areas.
The hotel’s Steakhouse, Bar and Grill offers a classic British menu from locally sourced produce, with the dining area featuring a sleek, modern and clean cut design.
This dining experience has been paired with the kitchens, service areas and bars, which were designed with speed and efficiency in mind to ensure quality in an easy to work with space.
Shine provided a host of bespoke fabrication, as well as a range of other specified manufacturers to be housed in the kitchens.
These manufacturers included Foster Coldstores, Rational UK, Williams Refrigeration, Falcon Prime Cooking and HMA Ventilation.
Dan Halpin, Shine project manager, said: “Although the kitchen was on the top floor of the building and was a challenge for both Shine and Kier, the working relationships developed by all parties throughout the scheme ensured that all related tasks for installing the kitchen facility and restaurant were a resounding success.”
The carefully designed hotel sees a mix of bespoke contemporary design and classic local Welsh heritage.
