Sheffield Uni to spend £90k on kitchen maintenance

The University of Sheffield is accepting tender submissions for a kitchen maintenance contract worth £90,000 a year.

The contract is divided into two Lots — one for catering and one for refrigeration — and will also cover the Student Union, UNICUS Sheffield Limited and Sheffield Hallam.

The successful bidders will be expected to carry out maintenance and repair services where catering equipment is present throughout those sites. The refrigeration aspect of the contract encompasses ice machines, cellar cooling and chiller displays.

The initial contract period is for one year, however there is an option to extend it for a further four years, each for a 12-month duration.

The base value of the contract is £90,000 but it could reach £450,000 if the contract is extended to its maximum term of five years.

Deadline for submissions is 16 June.
