Weymouth-based South Coast Catering UK (SCCUK) is now fully merged into the Airedale Group, following its takeover in 2014.
The new combined service division is being rebranded as Airedale Technical Care (ATC) and is headed up by group operations director Charlotte Bywell.
Her goal is to make Airedale Technical Care’s service and preventative maintenance offer “better than the rest”.
She said: “I want to carry on the great work that Glyn Jones [the former group service director] has done in the early transitional period of integrating SCCUK into the Airedale Group.”
In this next phase of development, Bywell wants to build and expand on SCCUK’s success and professionalism, by improving the framework of the business.
This should be achieved by streamlining the working processes and encouraging operational excellence.
Key strategies such as investing in staff training, support systems and establishing the ATC brand identity will be implemented.
Peter Baulch has joined from Gratte Brothers Catering Equipment as ATC’s head of technical, South.
He will be working alongside lead technical engineer Richard Buller to implement good working practices and strategies.
ATC feels its service engineers will also benefit from Baulch’s and Buller’s combined industry technical skills, knowledge and experience.
Design and marketing manager Paul Overton detailed: “This is a substantial investment and strategic decision by the Airedale group.
“SCCUK was already recognised for its rapid response to breakdowns, fix times and quality of customer service.
“Airedale Technical Care is now one of the largest national service and preventative maintenance providers to the catering and hospitality industry.
“We are rapidly adding re-branded vans to the fleet on a daily basis, and our engineers are all eager to get their hands on the keys.”
