Samuel Groves chill trays cut out the ice

Samuel Groves has unveiled an exclusive range of StayChill food display units built for the professional catering market.

The units are suitable for a selection of environments, including breakfast services and buffets to outdoor events, conferences and boardroom meetings, according to the company.

The range consists of five different sizes and when placed in the freezer for four hours can be used immediately and will keep food chilled for three hours.

Samuel Groves says the units eliminate the need for any ice.

“Our new trays from the StayChill collection offer something totally unique to a variety of catering settings, many of which can be extremely busy,” said Mark Rollason, sales and marketing director at Samuel Groves. “One of the main benefits of StayChill is that the trays are so easy to use – no electricity points are needed and you don’t need ice which can be time consuming and messy to deal with.”

Each tray is wipe clean and features a satin anodised aluminium outside casing and interior expanded polystyrene insulation (EPS) that allows cool air to release more slowly.

Rollason insists that as well as being functional for food presentation, the units make for strong upselling opportunities at point of purchase or with customer sampling.

“Used to display anything from pre-packed cakes, sandwiches, desserts and fresh fruit, the chill trays offer more potential to interact with customers and encourage impulse purchases,” he said. “Set up in an area of big footfall they will have a very quick return on investment.”

West Midlands-based Samuel Groves provides a range of catering equipment from heat lamps and food preparation tools to cookware and serving items. Brands include Mermaid, Longlife, Le Buffet, Microwise and Progress.
