Sammic mounts search for southern sales chief

Catering equipment brand Sammic is casting its net in search of a new regional sales manager to cover the south of England.

The Leicester-based firm, which manufactures kitchen prep, cooking and warewashing products, is looking for somebody with “senior manager potential” to sell its range of equipment to customers based in the south.

Managing director, Ian Houldsworth, says experience in the catering equipment sector is desirable, but above all the company is bidding to strengthen its team with somebody who can demonstrate an understanding and ability to apply new techniques in terms of CRM, sales planning and communicating to a wide variety of stakeholders.

“This role would suit a confident, outgoing personality, who is willing to develop with the company and work across the whole organisation to secure its future,” he said.

Sammic is Spanish-owned and the UK operation was set up by Houldsworth more than a decade ago. Over that time it has expanded its product portfolio and customer base, as well as enhanced its spare parts offering.

The southern sales manager’s post is understood to offer a salary of £27,500 per annum (OTE £37,500) and a car.
