Houldsworth said he was very proud of what his team has accomplished during his long tenure with the company.

“We have managed to achieve double-digit growth consistently in the last three years and more specifically in warewashing and vacuum packing we have enjoyed 59% and 39% growth respectively in just the last 12 months, which is a triumph during these challenging times.”

He added: “I believe that now is the right time for me to move on as the company is performing well, even exceeding expectations. It is operationally sound, positioned for continued growth and we have put the foundations in place that will guide Sammic UK for many years to come, and this gives me great confidence in its future success.”

Houldsworth joined Sammic as a regional sales manager in 1994 and quickly established himself as a key member of the catering equipment supplier’s team.

His career in the catering equipment industry spans 33 years. Prior to joining Sammic he worked for companies such as Gerard Gamble, Zanussi CLV Systems and Dawson.
