A sales director at RH Hall has just celebrated his 20th anniversary at the company.
Kris Brearley, who leads the Bedfordshire-based equipment supplier’s sales activities, initially began working for the company in a part-time sales role while studying for his A-levels.
After completing his education he joined the operation full-time and, aside from exiting the industry for a few years to set up a family landscape gardening business, he has been at RH Hall ever since.
During his time at the company Brearley has worked in various positions, including roles in the distribution, service and buying departments. He has served as sales director for the past 11 years.
Brearley says that when he first joined RH Hall it was turning over £1.2m a year. Now its annual sales exceed £10m. “In fact, our July 2012 turnover was equal to our entire 1992 turnover!” he says.
He insists it has been a privilege to see the company evolve over the years. “I’ve enjoyed being part of the changes, through equipment innovation and the way in which we supply foodservice solutions,” reflects Brearley.
“Not just off-the-shelf solutions, but the three-way partnership and technological advancements by food companies, packaging companies and equipment companies like ourselves to design and deliver exactly what solution a client wants.”
Key areas of focus for the firm this year include the development of iWave, a fully automated foodservice solution, and its new Maestrowave combi technology, both of which are produced and designed at its HQ in the UK.
