Robot-Coupe targets mass caterers

Robot-Coupe has unveiled its newest vegetable prep workstation and it insists the appliance will improve working conditions in the mass catering sector.

The CL 60 Complete vegetable preparation workstation has been invented for volume processing and high cut quality, with school canteens, company cafeterias and healthcare institutions among the sectors in mind.

The company says the CL60 boasts a powerful motor can achieve a theoretical output of 1,800kg of cut vegetables per hour with continuous feeding. With three feed heads, users can process all kinds of fruit and vegetables in large quantities, including tomatoes slices, grated carrots or dicing of potatoes.

The pusher feed head with extra large hopper, meanwhile, can process bulky vegetables such as celeriac and cabbage, while the 4 tubes feed head is designed for long or fragile fruit and vegetables.

Robot Coupe says that it was intent on simplifying user operations when designing the CL60. The power-assisted lever, together with the low position of the handle, considerably reduces user effort.

The operator can load the feed-tube with the left-hand while at the same time activating the lever with the right hand. For further comfort, the position of the adjustable handle varies according to the height of each operator, while the wheels and handle make the machine easy to move.
