Robot-Coupe reacts to constraints of caterers

French kitchen appliances specialists Robot-Coupe has launched a vegetable prep machine in direct response to the “constraints” felt by small catering operations.

The company says the development of mobile catering, delicatessens and snack bars is leading businesses in the sector to produce a wide variety of prepared foods in small quantities.

Robot-Coupe insists the CL40 prep machine has been conceived to help such organisations achieve the profitability and productivity they desire despite facing the prospect of labour shortages and ever-smaller kitchens.

The device combines a compact size, sturdiness, productivity and high cut quality, according to the company.

The complete collection of 28 stainless steel discs covers cutting all types of fruits and vegetables, namely sliced, ripple-cut, grated, strips, French Fries and diced.

The CL 40 has two feed tubes to allow precision cutting of long and fragile vegetables, and to cut bulky vegetables such as cabbage or lettuce.
