Rob Gibson and Simon Callus have joined forces to launch a new company: Commercial Catering Products (CCP).
CCP’s business model builds on the duo’s combined industry experience of over 60 years, working with manufacturers to win specification in chain accounts and driving sales through the distributor channel.
Gibson and Callus are already in discussion with a number of manufacturers, including Retigo, which CCP will be representing as its sales arm in the UK.
Gibson said: “We are excited to be working with this great manufacturer, they already have a fantastic reputation with a strong distributor channel, we look forward to working with the team at Retigo to build further upon their success.
“We are aware that these are difficult times for our industry, when myself and Simon first started to discuss forming the company we obviously didn’t foresee a global pandemic. However as we start to emerge from lockdown, we are well placed to support companies in re-establishing their businesses.”
The company officially launches on 1 July.
For the last 10 years, Callus was a senior business development director at Meiko UK, working directly with group and chain accounts with acclaimed success in managing and driving business through the various supply chains.
Gibson spent 18 years at Lincat winning major contracts with some of the biggest brewery and retail chains, driving the business through the distributor channel. During his time at Lincat he progressed from business development manager to sales and marketing director. For the past year he was UK MD at quotation platform AutoQuotes.
