Ritchie Catering Equipment in Stoke on Trent opened its newly refurbished showroom to the public in a series of open days in September.

There were demonstrations and displays from Rational, Robot Coupe, Churchill China, Dudsons, Arc Glassware, Beaumont, Fosters, Sammic and Maidaid with visitors enjoying food and wine tasting, cocktail making and plate decorating.

Complimentary coffee and cakes were also on offer in return for donations to local hospice Dougie Mac, with a percentage of sales on the days also going to the hospice.

MD David Ritchie said: “We wanted to take this opportunity to support a valued, local charity and we were delighted to involve our suppliers and customers in this support during our recent open days. We were also proud to introduce trade customers and the public to our new, exciting and dynamic showroom and direction for Ritchie’s.”

The Dougie Mac Hospice provides free of charge hospice services to over 3,000 adults with life-limiting illnesses in North Staffordshire. The hospice needs to raise in excess of £12m each year to maintain these services, with 80% of the money coming from voluntary donations. The support of local businesses is vital in helping it reach its goals.
