RH Hall’s fabrication wing has been awarded a two-year exclusive contract to supply Pret A Manger with front- and back-of-house counters and bespoke stainless steel products.
The deal is a major boost for the business, which has been developing its fabrication capabilities since acquiring Herts-based MBM Fabrications three years ago and partnering with modular specialist Simply Stainless.
The contract with Pret officially got underway last month and involves RH Hall making a number of bespoke fabricated items to Pret’s standards.
Speaking in the company’s latest newsletter, David Rance, who heads the fabrications division, said: “We previously made samples to meet the standard designs they have for each store, but each piece will be made bespoke to fit different store dimensions.
“In all there are about 30 different items including sinks, tables, counters and trolleys, plus other ancillary items with the bulk of the products being made by Simply Stainless and then with our further bespoke expertise we will be undertaking the finishing and fine assembly work which will include electrical modifications.”
The contract, which runs until August 2016, includes Pret’s stores in both the UK and France.
Ray Hall, RH Hall’s managing director, said the contract would help position the company’s fabrication services as a high quality business due to the standards expected of it.
“This is a very proud contract to win as the Pret standards are extremely high and supply and back-up service expectations are, too,” he said.
RH Hall’s fabrications division isn’t only providing products for the foodservice industry. It also recently won contracts to provide heavy duty bunk beds for a private university and 6,000 security shrouds to protect an international bank’s network PC access.
