Retigo combi oven surpasses Energy Star standards

The Retigo Blue Vision B1011 has been named as an official Energy Star product.

The Retigo Vision B1011 combi oven has been awarded the Energy Star logo after it was independently tested and certified by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) after results achieved were significantly above requirements.

Energy Star is the official US government-backed symbol for energy efficiency firstly introduced by the EPA in 1990 to recognise energy efficient computers.

Since this time, the scheme now focuses on supporting energy and cost saving as well as protecting the environment in which many products, buildings and homes have been independently certified to prove that using less energy and causing fewer emissions can contribute to climate change.

In recent years, the issue of energy and sustainability has become a topical subject and many combi ovens have now been certified as Energy Star products, which is aimed at providing dealers and end users with higher efficiency and sustainability. With Energy Star certified products, customers can verify certification compliance claimed by manufacturers and/or compare efficiency between certified products.

Aneta Halamíčková, export manager at Retigo, said: “As a widely recognised accreditation for energy efficiency across all sectors, Retigo is thrilled to become an Energy Star partner and we are delighted that our Blue Vision B1011 model has been officially named an Energy Star product.

“Retigo combi ovens are designed with energy efficiency in mind and we have built our latest Vision combi ovens with a range of energy saving features. These features are designed to save the user significant amounts on costs whilst still performing to a high standard.”

According to Energy Star, combi ovens that have earned the accreditation are around 20% more energy efficient than standard models, with Retigo Vision combi ovens being highly rated with regards to water and energy consumption.

Halamíčková added: “All Retigo Vision combi ovens have a heat exchanger which raises the incoming water temperature by 60°C, allowing for optimised, automatic cleaning.

“As well as this, all of our models have triple glazed doors that retain the heat as well as 50mm thick thermo insulation, ensuring no heat escapes from the oven during cooking. Retigo combi ovens also have one of the lowest water consumptions for cleaning cycles due to the cleaning cycle’s efficiency, with the quickest being just over 30 minutes.”
