The Restaurant Show draws to a close today, having welcomed more than 300 suppliers and thousands of visitors over the last three days.
Plans for The Restaurant Show 2014 are already underway, with organisers confirming that event will return to Earls Court 2 on 6-8 October next year.
This year’s show combined the usual mix of product launches and theatre cooking. Pastry chefs competed for first place in a special dessert contest while Hayden Groves beat seven other chefs to land the National Chef of the Year accolade.
Competitions were also held to showcase some of the budding young chefs making their way up the industry ranks.
First-time kitchen product exhibitors this year included Coldkit and Choppingboards.com, as well as a host of food and ingredient brands.
Around 80 companies were listed under the ‘catering equipment’ section of the show.
