RDA has refreshed the Costa Coffee at Queen’s Hospital in Romford, Essex.

RDA was recently selected by a major contract caterer to return to Queen’s Hospital, Romford, to refurbish its existing Costa Coffee which the distributor originally installed 5 years ago.

The design and installation company was originally appointed in 2013 to carry out a full refurbishment of its outdated café and transform it into a fully licensed Costa Coffee.

The new interior fit out is based on the latest Costa brand and specification, bringing the café in line with a modern and vibrant Costa look and feel, and state of the art equipment. The equipment was entirely Costa specified, with counters built to its brand manual instructions.

The refit was also to add a third service point to increase the volume the unit could process and to speed up service for customers.

The project at Romford follows a Costa installation at a community-based hospital in south west London where RDA was appointed by the same contract caterer to transform an outdated café into a new look Costa Coffee.

Neil Addyman, director at RDA said: “It was great to be back on site at Queen’s Hospital and to create the new look Costa. Our team had to work to a tight timeframe and be sensitive to working in a hospital environment.

“The result is a fresh and contemporary space located within a prime position within the hospital, ready to serve the thousands of patients, staff and visitors.”
