North East based kitchen design house RDA has finished a staff dining café for subsea technology firm Technip FMC Umbilicals.

The offshore specialist created a new office development at its Newcastle facilities and so called in RDA to create modern catering facilities fit for 21st century workers.

The distributor’s team of designers worked with Technip FMC to create a new servery, cooking suite and storage area ensuring that all colours and finishes were in keeping with its brand and matched the furniture which had already been chosen by the client.

The result is said to be a modern and bold servery area with feature tiling to the front counter, microwave station with integrated fridges for self-service and a brand-new kitchen with ample storage.

Equipment included a Burco Titan induction range, a Blue Seal fryer and a Unox Cheftop MindMaps combi oven, plus several Caple microwave ovens.

Lisa Silcock, facilities lead at Technip FMC Umbilicals said: “RDA worked with us to create a beautiful new catering space for our workers. We are delighted with the results and now have catering facilities which reflect the changing face of the company.”
