Kitchen design house RDA was recently selected by a premium cold pressed juice and health food café to design its first ever UK site.

Brewed and Pressed, which is originally from Texas USA, specialises in 100% organic raw cold pressed drinks and food. When Saad Aslam, UK managing partner, acquired the franchise to open the first UK site in London, RDA’s team of designers came up with a concept which reflects the brand’s philosophy of ‘a healthy body and what we consume creates a healthy mind and ultimately helps you live longer’.

In keeping with the US design scheme, RDA’s team created a high-end contemporary coffee bar design which features botanical influences such as an illuminated bespoke moss wall sign portraying the brand’s slogan – “The Art of Nourishment,” whilst an open serving hatch offers a ‘live’ experience from the kitchen.

Nick Bradley, director at RDA said: “We are delighted to help create a UK twist for the very first London store. The main challenge was to maintain the key elements of the US brand and translate that for diners here in the UK.

“To introduce some of the organic influences we chose neutral colours for the seating areas and walls with planters throughout. This was coupled with a “social” bar stool area at the main counter and rustic bench eating areas.”

Saad Aslam, UK managing partner at Brewed and Pressed said: “RDA really understood what I wanted from the design. They interpreted the brief perfectly and the results have helped me to create a café to be proud of.”
