Rational has given a clear indication of its future global growth intentions by revealing it will shell out 6.5m (£5.3m) extending its company headquarters.
The combi oven market leader will expand its office space and build a new training facility on 3,000 square metres of floor space .
The new building is being erected on the grounds of the third Rational plant in Frauenwald, Germany. Construction work is due to be completed by March 2013.
The ground floor of the new office will house four highly modern training centres for theoretical training and practical cooking applications. An automatic partition system will also allow large-scale events with up to 190 participants to be held.
"The training requirements for our worldwide customers is growing year after year, particularly as the result of the increasing demand for our new SelfCookingCenter whitefficiency," said Dr. Blaschke, CEO of Rational. "The existing premises can no longer cope with these requirements."
The upper floor of the new building will house offices with around 80 workstations. The German sales subsidiary of Rational will be moving into the upper office floor once the building is complete.
Rational made sales of £392m (£317m) last year and is expected to exceed that this year.
