The restaurant’s proprietor, Parves Akhtar, reports that the seasoned breaded chicken is very popular with regular customers, adding that the fast food store serves over 1,000 fried chicken portions per week.

Akhtar has also recently opened a second Rajas’ restaurant at Maypole, Birmingham, at which he has also installed a BKI gas pressure fryer.

“We have been very impressed with the performance of the fryers at both of our restaurants. We will have no hesitation in specifying the BKI pressure fryer for future fast food projects,” he said.

The BKI LGF-FC model features a user friendly 8 programme controller for simple operation, accurate cooking times and precise temperatures, delivering consistently high standards of cooked food quality.

Fast, low pressure frying produces succulent and moist meat with a crispy breaded coating. The pressure fryer’s large capacity and high efficiency instant burners allow chefs to react quickly to surges in demand, especially during peak weekend services.

To extend the life of cooking oil, the pressure fryer features a cold zone, which collects breading fall off. Stainless steel construction and a quick disconnect, oil filtration system simplify cleaning and oil drainage regimes, reducing labour costs.
