Precision’s latest double doors get first airing

Precision’s new two door cabinets are claimed to be efficient and space-saving.

Responding to the requirements of MEPS, Precision has launched upgraded versions of its two-door fridges and freezer cabinets. The manufacturer claims they offer low running costs and good energy savings, and are designed to provide reliable, efficient refrigerated storage solutions.

Precision MD Nick Williams commented: “Two-door cabinets are cost effective and space-saving, so they’re a popular option. The energy data disclosure required by MEPS-compliant refrigeration gives end users the opportunity to easily compare and select the most energy efficient equipment for their catering operation.”

The cabinets have a stainless steel interior and exterior, plus what is said to be enhanced thermal break and door gasket protection. A built-in rear air duct should ensure even temperature distribution throughout the interior, while 90mm, zero ODP injected polyurethane provides insulation. Furthermore, a condensing unit safety system should protect the compressor from blocked condensers, and the unit also features a waste-heat recovery condensate vaporiser system.

An electronic controller with a clear LCD screen, hi/low visual temperature alarms, hot gas defrost, heavy-duty braked swivel castors, and door locks are all fitted as standard. Self-closing doors with ergonomic, flush handles are designed to ensure that the cabinet isn’t inadvertently left open.

The MPT 1401 refrigerator cabinet operates between -2°C to +10°C and measures 1,440mm (w) x 860mm (d) x 2,090mm (h). The LPT 1401 freezer cabinet operates between -18°C to -22°C with the same dimensions. The cabinets each have 928litres of net useable volume and accept GN2/1 shelves – eight of which are supplied as standard. Specialist shelving is available on request.

List prices are £3,165 for the MPT 1401 and £4,045 for the LPT 1401.
