With operators becoming choosier over the look and feel of their refrigeration – particularly if it is displayed front-of-house – manufacturer Precision is rolling out a cabinet with a wooden finish.
The company has revealed that its latest bottle coolers will get the wood treatment in a bid to achieve the warm rustic, designer look that come customers are after.
It will unveil the wooden units, which it says are “chic, retro and keep their cool” at the Commercial Kitchen show in Birmingham in June.
Precision points out that the finish is purely for exterior purposes. Behind the solid wood doors there is LED lighting and adjustable perforated stainless steel shelves to accommodate different sizes of bottles or cans. Units are fitted with Precision’s new maintenance-free condenser.
Last year Precision unveiled ‘retro’ fridges with a 1950s heavy duty American feel (right) and these will also be on show again. Although the units are chunky and feature large, beefy handles, they contain the latest energy efficient components.
The metal exterior finish has a clear, wipe-clean coating and is available in any colour.
