Cheltenham-based PKL Group, a temporary and modular kitchen supplier, won the top prize at the Festival Supplier Awards, held at the Hurlingham Club in London on 31 January.
The FSAs focus on the event industry, with suppliers to some of the country’s most famous events vying for the acknowledgement of their industry peers.
The Supplier of the Year Award is the FSA’s top accolade and PKL was up against stiff competition within the events industry.
PKL’s case study on its work with Brand Events on the Pub in the Park events last year was submitted to the judges, who said they chose PKL because they were “impressed with the scale and scope of PKL’s delivery which was evident in the case studies [and] glowing testimonials”.
Event sales manager Zoe Rullier and event sales administrator Rhian Brown were there to accept the award on behalf of PKL from sponsor Jeremy Lance of Lance Show & Publications and Radio 6 and former Radio 1 DJ Edith Bowman.
Rullier said: “We were so excited to hear our name read out on the night. We are so delighted to win because to be recognised by our industry colleagues means that our whole team is doing the right things to help our customers succeed.”
PKL Group’s sales manager Karen Rumsey said: “This win shows the hard work done each and every day by our whole PKL team is making a big difference to our customers, and that makes all the effort worth it. I’m very proud of the PKL family and delighted they are being recognised with this win!”
