PKL launches Space Station

Gloucester-based PKL has created a new modular servery that enables end users to set up a cafe facility “almost anywhere”.

The Space Station is essentially a cafe on wheels, and according to PKL can create a food retail outlet where there is minimal space, as the clamshell construction folds away after use.

The servery unit’s hinge mechanism also enables it to be split into two sections for transportation.

The integrated design is said to allow the Space Station to be quickly ready to trade, as all the equipment and food storage is built-in and ready to use. Foodservice operators should only have to wheel it into position, unlock the unit and unfold it to set it up.

Features include in-built refrigeration, hot or cold food display options, lockable cupboards and an in-built service line. A range of other equipment can be connected to the unit such as coffee machines, panini grills and soup kettles.

The Space Station can be designed to suit requirements, and the whole unit can also be fully branded with logos and colours.
