GGF dough rollers, supplied in the UK by London-based Pizza Equipment Ltd, played a starring role in Channel 5’s The Gadget Show.
In a recent episode, hosts Ortis and Jon entered the British Street Food Festival.
Their aim as complete novices was to out-cook the professionals using various technologies and win the competition.
They required equipment that could produce pizzas quickly and reliably without them needing any skills whatsoever.
As part of their armoury they used the GGF S30A dough roller to help them roll out dough balls into pizza bases quicker than the professionals could do by hand.
Pizza Equipment Ltd’s sales representative, Daniel Phillips, explained: “Although they didn’t win the competition, the GGF dough roller saved The Gadget Show hosts a lot of time and made sure the bases were flat and round, demonstrating that with a dough roller you don’t need skilled staff to produce a professional pizza base.”
Italian company GGF manufactures pizza ovens, dough mixers, and dough rollers.
The GGF dough rollers in the show feature two sets of adjustable rollers enabling the user to produce any size pizza base up to 16”.
They include a foot pedal to turn the rollers on and off so the user doesn’t transfer flour to the power switches with their hands. This should ensure flour doesn’t enter the machine and affect its operation.
