Pizza Equipment Ltd will be serving up some stiff competition at the Restaurant & Takeaway Innovation Expo in London’s ExCel on 25-26 September.
The supplier will display the new rigid Next Phase delivery bag, claimed to be a “ground-breaking” development in fast food delivery systems.
The company is the sole distributor of Vesture thermal management delivery bags in the UK and the latest generation will be on show on Stand 2020, Pizza Equipment’s largest stand to date.
The Next Phase Rigid bag combines the patented self-heating technology of the existing range with a firm support structure to prevent crushing of the pizzas during transit.
Measuring 20″ x 20″ x 8″, the Rigid bag holds two large 18” pizza boxes or three 16” pizzas. It also features a magnetic closure in place of the standard Velcro fastening to ensure a good seal and optimum heat retention throughout the delivery process. A zippered side seam allows the pizza supplier to open up the bag and stack it flat with other Rigid bags after use, for easy storage.
The Vesture Next Phase bag range is designed to ensure the takeaway food will only lose 1°C over half an hour, even in sub-zero temperatures, thanks to a self-charging technology that has no cords and no electric elements.
The six-layer construction comprises a nylon cover inside and out, insulation material, a layer of nanotech energy absorbing foam, a reflective energy barrier, the Next Phase delivery heating element, and a one-way ventilation layer.
