Middleby Corporation fryer brand Pitco Frialator is moving forward with plans to construct a 356,000ft2 manufacturing facility that will dramatically expand its capacity to serve global customers.

The company intends to consolidate all three of its existing manufacturing locations into a single, efficient layout incorporating office, production and warehouse space.

The 103-year old maker of commercial fryers has received approval to begin construction on a site in Concord, USA, which will support 400 jobs.

Karl Searl, VP and general manager at Pitco, said: “This new world-class manufacturing facility will be instrumental in preparing Pitco for its next level of growth and will allow us to increase production capacity to support our global foodservice customers. It will also play a critical role in bolstering our highly skilled and robust workforce.”

Searl said that keeping its business based in the state is important for it to maintain its culture of quality workmanship and customer-centric values.

“We are appreciative for the support from the City of Concord and we look forward to continuing our strong relationship as partners in the upcoming years,” he said.

Pitco fryers are supplied through Middleby in the UK.

Construction on the new facility is planned to start in 2022.
