Logistics specialist Keith Elkington Transport has taken on a new venture, joining forces with industry stalwart, Phil Martin.
Martin will be taking on a consultancy role to provide new service offerings under its new operation, The Keith Elkington Group.
The Milton Keynes-based firm revealed it will soon be expanding its services by providing off-site servicing and deep cleaning, enabling the firm to deliver a whole turnkey service of collection, warehousing, testing, servicing, cleaning, re-delivery and installation, all under one roof.
The expansion of services means customers can now use KEG for foodservice equipment removal or a full deep-clean on individual appliances, the entire commercial kitchen or on inaccessible areas.
The Keith Elkington Group will also use its fully equipped test and servicing kitchen and qualified engineers to extend the life of its client’s foodservice equipment, providing an engineer’s report once the service has been completed.
Customers who cannot fit the service into business hours can request support out of hours or on weekends and bank holidays too.

Elkington highlighted the importance of offering these new services to clients, given the current climate, where refurbishing an entirely new kitchen may not be affordable or feasible.
He added: “The fact that an existing kitchen can be collected, tested, serviced, cleaned, stored and then returned to site is resourceful and helps support a restricted budget.
