Pentland reports new website success

Pentland Wholesale has said it has been overwhelmed with the response to its new website.

The launch day last week saw record numbers of visitors, and since then there has been an average of a 30% uplift in visitor numbers.

The supplier reported that many existing customers opened online accounts to access the latest offer prices, perform live stock checks and order through the site.

The website also allows users to browse product information, download product specification PDFs, images and manuals.

The partnership with distributors is extremely important for Pentland as it aims to provide a resource for all dealers’ requirements.

Chris Allen, group MD said: “The response we have had to the new website has been fantastic, we are really encouraged by the great feedback we have received. We will be concentrating on the re-launch of the Pentland parts website in 2016.”

Pentland offers over 1,000 products from bottle coolers to serve-over counters, refrigerators to hot cupboards and chest freezers through to heavy duty oven ranges. It has exclusivity within the UK to supply brands including Infrico, Inomak, Mondial Elite, Mafirol, Kromo, Simag, Inoxtrend and American Range.

It is also an approved partner for manufacturers such as Vestfrost, Whirlpool, Williams and Sharp. In addition, it owns the Blizzard brand which holds a wide range of products imported exclusively by Pentland Wholesale.
